Here are the five goals of the CMN SA with the strategies to meet these goals.

1. To provide a support network for key denominational and parachurch organisation leaders involved with families and children.
   Strategies:
   1. Meet regularly, preferably at different members’ venues
   2. Give honest feedback on programs, publications etc
   3. Support each others events through advertising when appropriate
   4. Attend each others’ events when possible
   5. Pray regularly for one another
2. To share the gifts, skills and resources of each denomination and organisation.
   Strategies:
   1. Offer training events for leaders in ministry with children
   2. Share ideas/resources at CMN meetings
3. To provide a forum for discussion and development of new ideas and initiatives.
   Strategies:
   1. Meet regularly eg bi-monthly for exchange of ideas
   2. Develop and maintain CMNSA website
4. To be pro-active in providing a Christian presence in SA’s Primary Schools.
   Strategies:
   1. Make connections with Schools’ Ministry Group
   2. Actively recruit volunteers within our churches for work in Primary Schools
5. To advocate for children within the church and wider community.
   Strategies:
   1. Take every opportunity to speak out for children
